Terms and conditions

In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your goods or services received, we may offer a refund upon your returning the goods to us. You must notify us within 7 working days of you receiving the goods, that you wish to cancel your order. The only charges incurred will be the costs associated with you returning them. Any products returned to us must arrive in such a condition that we are able to immediately resell them.

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 the right to a refund does not apply in the case of an online course. However, if the course is clearly inappropriate for your purposes, please contact us within 24 hours of gaining access, when we can discuss a refund with you.

Terms and conditions for specific course categories:

Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) courses

  • The course content is copyrighted and should only be used by yourself. Under no circumstances do we permit any copying of the work we supply
  • Support for each of the ICB courses is valid for 6 months except for the Level III Diploma in Payroll Management which attracts 12 months of tutor support. Your tutor is available for contact primarily by email but may also be contacted by telephone during working hours. There may some interruption to support during holiday periods
  • You are responsible for full payment of the course. Where we offer payment by instalments, these are to be made monthly over a period of 4 months in total and you must keep to the payment plan to remain regiistered on the course. If you decide not to continue study at any stage during this period, the full amount will still be due
  • Additional fees are required for examination for all courses and other costs associated with travel to and from the examination centre must be borne by you. The exception is for ICB Level I Certificate in Basic bookkeeping, where registration and examination costs are included in the price you pay. Examination cannot be completed until full payment has been made
  • If you require special consideration due to disability, please contact us prior to purchase. We can make adjustments to some of the courseware if necessary, such as changing the font size or colour of text.The ICB may allow adjustments to the examination procedures also - please contact the ICB direct for further details
  • Please note that membership of the ICB is not automatic and cannot therefore be guaranteed. Should membership be refused by the ICB for any reason, we cannot offer any refunds on any training course purchased. If the ICB refund membership or other fees related to membership to Mycourse Ltd., that have been paid by Mycourse Ltd on your behalf, we will pass these refunds on to you.
  • Sage courses

  • Sage courses are developed by Sage UK plc and all copyright remains with them. We can not offer any refunds on sage courses where the packaging has been opened
  • Tutor support is provided for 1 month free of charge from initial purchase but we reserve the right to change this offer at any stage.
    Mycourse online courses
  • These courses are developed in-house and we retain all copyright
  • Access to the courses is available for 3 months from purchase and tutor support is available for 1 month
  • Access and passwords are specific to you and you must never divulge them to a third party. We reserve the right to suspend access to a course, where we detect unusual activity or access from multiple computers
  • Microsoft Courses

    These courses are supplied by a third party, based in Germany and carry their own terms and conditions shown on each course page - please read carefully prior to purchase

    ILA Scotland funded courses

  • Courses funded by ILA Scotland include tutor support for the stated period shown on the details for each course. Costs may exclude registration and examination fees. Please refer to the individual course details for charges.
  • Where you are required to attend an examination centre, costs of travel to and from the centre and other subsistence costs must be borne by yourself
  • Your statutory rights of course, are unaffected

    The law of Scotland applies.
